Construction Manager at Risk for 196,000 sf middle school, designed with five separate, two-story wings connected to a curved central two-story glass atrium located on a 25 acre site. Features include 320 seat auditorium | performing arts center, 200-seat cafeteria, 5,500 sf gymnasium, 800 sf fitness facility, media center with high-tech information systems, science center with laboratory casework and fume hoods. Innovative planning enabled the team to complete the project on time, despite a three-month delay – at mid-point of steel erection – caused by a residents’ lawsuit over the project’s location

Noteworthy: “My administration inherited this project, a project that had been besieged for a number of years by town-based legal disputes and budgetary shortfalls. Yet throughout all those difficulties, KBE Building Corporation held firm and worked closely with the Town… to bring the project to completion and on budget. I credit your firm’s diligence, commitment to finding solutions, and exemplary work ethic. KBE has shown itself to be a true partner in helping Hamden achieve its vision of a showplace of academic excellence.” Craig Henrici, Former Mayor, Town of Hamden, CT
