Volunteers to assemble, deliver meals on Nov. 22 from 8-10 a.m.
HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 19, 2014 – Volunteers from KBE Building Corp. will continue their 6-year labor of love when they assemble and deliver 200 Thanksgiving dinners during the firm’s signature philanthropic event “Gift of Gobble” on Nov. 22.
WHAT:
KBE staff members and their families will assemble and deliver complete meal kits – each including a turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, corn, beans, potatoes, yams, rolls, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and a roasting pan – to eight community service organizations around the state.
KBE purchased all food items from Bozzuto’s, and W.B. Mason is donating the boxes.
The commercial construction firm, based in Farmington, also has a significant “Gift of Gobble” initiative in the Mid-Atlantic region through its Columbia, Maryland office.
Meals in Connecticut are being delivered to these organizations:

- Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport
- Columbus House, New Haven
- Columbus House, Middletown
- Farmington Community Services
- Fish Food Pantry in Torrington
- Food Bank at Access Community Action Agency in Danielson

“Gift of Gobble” is part of KBE’s broader philanthropic initiative 50 Ways to Make a Difference.

Assembly will occur on Sat., Nov. 22 from 8 to 10 a.m.
Delivery will begin after all boxes have been assembled, tentatively at 10 a.m. on Nov. 22. Please call Jonelle Lawhorn at 860.836.7517 on the morning of Nov. 22 for a more precise start time for delivery.
