60 Acts of Kindness
KBE has a long history of supporting the communities where our staff live and our company works, through our 50 Ways to Make a Difference program. In 2019, in honor of our 60th Anniversary, we will be completing 60 Acts of Kindness – donations of time and dollars to help out not-for-profit agencies and others that support children, seniors, and our military personnel and families.
Check back here often to see the myriad of ways KBE is helping our neighbors and friends in need, through acts of kindness both large and small.
Your team demonstrated skill in negotiating resolution as the many typical project challenges arose. Your team exercised leadership and forward looking measures that kept all the many, many threads of the project in order.

The construction of the new Norwich Technical High School is an outstanding example of project team excellence on all levels. KBE Building Corporation and all involved have created an environment that is not only stunning to look at but comfortable for our students and faculty.
Nikitoula Menounous, Ed.D., Principal, Norwich Technical High School November 28, 2016
As our Construction Manager, KBE has been a valuable asset at every step of the way, supporting the Building Committee throughout the process. Your team has done an excellent job of creating the brick-and-mortar reality of the architect’s vision for our new school.
Radha Prasad, Chairman, North Haven High School Building Committee November 28, 2016
I was very pleased by how your team truly respected the integrity of our design intent. In our business, there are always value management decisions that could eliminate design intent, but we never saw those from KBE. It was absolutely an interactive and collaborative process from the very start.
David King, AIA, Pricipal, Kaestle Boos Architects November 28, 2016
In every aspect of the process, the safety of the children and the staff was ensured by KBE via notifications to me and through KBE’s enforcement of safety procedures and conditions.
Kevin Brennan, Principal, Carrington Elementary School November 28, 2016
Your field team managed the daily project work with great care and competency, and always with a fundamental respect for the University, our facilities staff, faculty, and students alike. KBE offered a viligant attention to detail and executed the project with an admireable lack of disruption to university life.
Donald E. Sundgren, Chief Facilities Officer, University of Virginia November 28, 2016
Your staff was remarkably amendable to last-minute changes and to helping us resolve the various issues that arise on any contruction project.
Gail Zang Merrill, Publicity/Marketing Manager, University of Connecticut, Department of Dining Services November 28, 2016
KBE provided…an extraordinary level of professionalism, commitment and service. KBE’s comprehensive Preconstruction effort culminated in a Guaranteed Maximum Price that was below our project budget – always welcome news. KBE kept its promise of keeping our residents safe.
Michael Rambarose, CEO, Whitney Center November 28, 2016
This was an outstanding example of teamwork in action – your design/build team managed this extensive renovation with integrity and commitment. Working in the downtown Hartford setting certainly added a level of complexity to the effort, but our target dates and budget were met, and all project challenges were quickly and efficiently resolved.
Jonathan Keller, Managing Member of 90 Washington Street, LLC and The Freemont Group November 28, 2016
