Construction Manager at Risk for the 13,800 sf, 2-story, wood-framed River Center and Boathouse housing sailing and crew programs, biology research, and waterfront recreation, set on the college’s historic waterfront campus – one of five projects completed to date for the College. During preconstruction, KBE recommended a design-build solution for the mechanical/electrical systems to bring the project back within budget. The River Center is heated and cooled by 36 geothermal wells, all constructed within the environmentally sensitive waterfront location.
Noteworthy: “Another successful project with KBE Building Corporation! I want to thank you and your team for once again living up to your promises and our expectations. Your team has managed our project challenges with grace, tact, and a remarkable spirit of cooperation.” Charles Jackson, Associate Vice President of Facilities, St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
