Design-Builder and Constructor for a 140,000 sf, 450-car structured Western Connecticut State University parking garage and adjacent 128,000 sf residence hall. The parking facility is built on conventional spread footings and column footings bearing on compacted crushed stone overlying rock. Due to the extreme variation in grade across the site, a massive retaining wall, up to three-stories high in areas, was constructed along the north side of the garage. The freestanding wall uses rock anchors to help reduce the size of the footings.
