Controller Cliff Manzone has been a part of the KBE family since 2007. Here’s a little bit about Cliff!
Why did you choose a career in accounting?
I’m good with numbers! I was a finance major, similar to accounting. My first corporate position after college was as a Processor for a local mortgage company. After a year I transferred to an opening in their accounting department, and after gaining some experience, I started my career at KBE in 2007. Since then, I’ve further developed my career into my position now.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m a hobbiest photographer, and I’m passionate about nighttime photography. I started off by taking photos of sunsets on my phone, but once the sunset, I thought the landscape still looked beautiful. But a phone wasn’t able to capture that beauty. So I purchased my first DSL camera and began taking photos at night time, in the middle of fields. I strive for the middle of the night, at the darkest hour, to capture the most light from the starry skies, the more detail I’m able to capture, the better. Nighttime photography can take anywhere from ½ hour to 4 hours to capture enough of the night sky and to produce the effect I want.
What inspires you?
Other peoples’ photography I often find inspiring. Photography has an element of competitiveness, but also an appreciation for what others are doing creatively.
What is your favorite sports team?
What was your first job?
Golf Course Maintenance.
