KBE Awarded Several Projects in MD, DC

COLUMBIA, Md., Oct. 25, 2012 — KBE Building Corporation was recently awarded four construction projects in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. area. The projects include TD Bank in Rockville, St. Mary’s Place in Beltsville, Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and the Capitol Hill Meetinghouse Facility for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also in Washington, D.C.

The New Capitol Hill Meetinghouse Facility for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a $5 million project that will include the demolition of the existing one-story meetinghouse and construction of a new 30,000 square-foot, two-story meetinghouse with below-grade parking. The new construction will begin immediately following the demolition, and is scheduled for completion in June 2013.

The $1 million TD Bank project is located in the Montrose Crossing shopping center in Rockville, Maryland. The bank facility, which will consist of 2,700 square feet of new construction, is slated for completion in February 2013. KBE recently completed construction of the overall Montrose Crossing retail center, as well as tenant fit-out services for the Bob’s Stores and A.C. Moore.

The $3.5 million St. Mary’s Place project in Beltsville, Maryland, will include construction of a main 7,500 square-foot retail shell, with additional space for two smaller tenants.  Construction begins in October 2012 and is slated for completion in February 2013. 

Finally, a $55,000 remodel of the Campus Ministry Offices at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. was started in June 2012 and completed in July.
