BRIDGEPORT, CT, June 17, 2015 – University of Bridgeport students and staff members gathered earlier this week to witness the opening of a time capsule discovered on the construction site for the new University Hall Residences being built by KBE Building Corporation.
“Many construction sites contain remnants of past buildings or occupants, but it’s not every day that we find a bona fide time capsule on a construction site,” said KBE Building Corp. Project Superintendent Ken Beaudoin, who discovered the time capsule earlier this week.
“The contents turned out to be mostly old school admission documents, but it was still fun to see the students’ faces light up as we opened it.”
KBE Building Corp. is Construction Manager at Risk for the four-story, 60,000 s/f residence hall, which will provide housing for 220 students in a variety of configurations, including suites and traditional bedrooms, along with common rooms and student support services.
