At the 29th Annual Connecticut Building Congress Project Team Awards, UConn’s Connecticut Hall won an Award of Merit in the Higher Education (Large) category. The honor recognizes outstanding teamwork and project excellence among design and construction partners.

KBE Building Corporation has signed its ninth safety training partnership with OSHA, focusing on the ongoing construction of The August at Steelpointe Harbor in Bridgeport. KBE Building Corporation has officially broken ground on Mozaic Concierge Living, a new Life Plan Community in Stamford developed by Mozaic Senior Life. Spanning 483,888 square feet on a 15-acre site, the community will include 164 independent living residences and 42 care units for assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.

KBE's annual Construction Career Scholarship Awards Night took place on May 13th, 2025 at Farmington Gardens. During the ceremony, the KBE Foundation awarded $18,000 in scholarships to 18 talented young men and women from Connecticut who are pursuing careers in construction after high school.

The groundbreaking was held on the site of the new facility and took place exactly seven months to the day after fires destroyed the country club’s historic clubhouse.

Completing the 280,000 square-foot Connecticut Hall residences and dining facility at UCONN in just 17 months was no small feat! This exceptional project was recently featured in High Profile magazine, with an in-depth look at some of the challenges and successes achieved by the KBE/Newman Architects’ design build team.

Golden shovels and hardhats were positioned Wednesday afternoon in front of a large hole that will become the foundation of the new Wampanoag clubhouse, but before club leadership, town officials, and members of the design and construction team held a champagne toast and tossed their shovelfuls of dirt at the ceremonial groundbreaking, club President Glenn Cunningham remarked on the significance of the day.

KBE Foundation’s mission of community support this summer included everything from serving BBQ lunches to veterans and their families to helping land fish at the Special Olympics fishing derby to hosting its annual charity golf tournament to provide scholarships to technical high school students.
