KBE Building Corporation served as the Construction Manager at Risk for Benchmark at Mount Pleasant, a new 91,000-square-foot senior living community in Thornwood, New York that brings thoughtfully designed assisted living and memory care to Westchester County. Located at 2 Zeiss Drive, the community represents Benchmark Senior Living’s first location in the county and reflects the growing demand for modern senior living environments that combine hospitality-style amenities with personalized care in a welcoming, purpose-built setting.

Building a Community Designed for Life
Constructed on a wooded site in the town of Mount Pleasant, the development required careful coordination between the project team and local stakeholders to create a residential setting that integrates with the surrounding landscape while providing a comfortable, accessible environment for residents and visitors.
The four-story community features 114 residences, including studio, one-bedroom, and companion suites for assisted living, along with dedicated accommodations designed specifically for memory care residents. Each residence was designed with both comfort and functionality in mind, incorporating thoughtful layouts, natural light, and finishes that create a warm and residential atmosphere.
Throughout the building, KBE worked closely with the owner and design team to bring to life spaces that encourage engagement and daily activity. Residents have access to a wide range of amenities that support both social connection and wellness.

Specialized Design for Memory Care
